Questions people ask before booking a cleaner

Straight answers to the things worth knowing before the first visit. If something you need is not here, ask — you will get a plain answer.

What is included in a regular clean?
A regular visit covers the kitchen — worktops, sink, taps, hob and the outside of appliances — bathrooms including the basin, bath, shower, screen, WC, tiles and mirrors, then dusting throughout with skirting boards, switches and handles, and vacuuming and mopping of all floors. Beds can be changed and rooms tidied if the linen is left out. The exact list is agreed with you before the first visit and written down, so it matches your home rather than a generic checklist.
Do you bring your own products and equipment?
Yes. Cleaning products and equipment are brought along as standard. If you would rather your own products were used — because of a delicate surface, an allergy, a pet or a preference for something unscented — leave them out and they will be used instead. Just say so when the plan is agreed.
Do I need to be at home while you clean?
No. Plenty of customers are at work during the visit and plenty prefer to be in — both are fine. Whatever suits you, the access arrangement is agreed in advance so there are no surprises on the day.
How does access and key handling work?
Access is agreed in writing before the first visit. That might mean you are home to open the door, a key safe or lockbox with a code, a smart lock, or a key held for you. Keys are kept securely and are never labelled with your address. If you would rather not hand over a key at all, we simply book visits for times when somebody is in.
How much notice do you need for a booking?
It depends on the type of clean and how full the diary is. A regular slot is usually set up within a week or two once the plan is agreed. One-off work that takes a full day — a deep clean, an end of tenancy clean — needs more warning, so get in touch as early as you can, and for a tenancy clean tell us the date the keys have to be returned. If you need to move or cancel a booked visit, let us know as far ahead as possible and we will rearrange it.
Do you cover weekends?
Yes, weekdays and weekends. There is no fixed timetable published here because visits are arranged individually — get in touch and we will agree a day and time that suits, including at weekends.
How is a quote given, and is it free?
Quotes are free. Message or call with the basics — the type of clean, the number of bedrooms and bathrooms, roughly how often you would like a visit, and where the property is — and you will get a price for that specific job. For an oven clean, a photograph of the inside helps. For an end of tenancy clean, sending the agent's check-out checklist means the quote covers exactly what will be inspected. Nothing is charged until the work has been agreed with you.
Which areas do you cover?
Ipswich and up to about 15 miles around it, including Kesgrave, Martlesham, Woodbridge, Felixstowe, Stowmarket, Hadleigh, Needham Market and Capel St Mary, plus the villages in between. If your address is roughly within that distance, just ask.
Can I change what gets done, or how often?
Yes. The cleaning plan is yours and can be adjusted whenever you need — more attention on the bathrooms one week, the kitchen the next, or a change of frequency between weekly, bi-weekly and monthly. Extra jobs such as an oven clean can be added to a regular visit.
Do you clean businesses as well as homes?
Yes. Offices, studios, treatment rooms and small commercial premises are cleaned around your working hours, as well as Airbnb and holiday let changeovers for hosts and property managers.
